Sunday
The rain, that are not tears, once again wet the geeen leaves around my home. It is wonderful to predict and enjoy every season nature gives. The past is history, the future is mystery, and the present is our gift; we had a great brunch among friends, most of them practioners of mindfullness.

another piece of reading - from Rumi " The Guest House" (somewhat adapted)
this being human is a guest house
every morning a new arrival
joy, depression,
some momentary awareness comes
as unexpected visitor
Namo Amida Bu
welcome and entertain them all !
even if they are a crowd of sorrows,
who sweep your house,
empty of its furniture.
still, treat each guest honorably,
each may be clearing you
out for some (future) delight.
dark thoughts, shame, malice,
meet all at the door laughing,
and invite them in
be grateful for whoever comes,
because each has been sent
as a guide from beyond.

I have always been fond of this poem. Jon Kabat-Zinn uses it in his work with mindfulness and depression. I like your adaptation!
