WELCOME

WELCOME to Amida Research Institute, Established May 2007.

You can navigate this site using the "Categories" in the side panel.

The ARI within Amida Trust
The Amida Research Institute is sponsored by the Amida Trust and works in conjunction with Amida-shu and Amida-kai for research related to the phenomenology and application of spirituality. ARI is Amida Trust's interface with the academic world, an extension of AT's educational programme, a platform for reseach projects and publications, and a venue for all forms of spiritual enquiry.

ARI Associates
ARI has contributing associates who are invited to offer papers, seminars, research co-operation or other assistance from time to time and to act as an advisory panel. Applications for associateship should be addressed to the Institute.

First Research Project
The first research project to be undertaken by the Institute will be a Survey of Religious/Spiritual Experience. This is being undertaken in co-operation with the Alister Hardy Religious Experience Research Centre at the University of Wales in Lampeter. This is a tangible instance of co-operative work that we hope will provide a template for future projects and also open the door to other forms of co-operation.
