The next Living Buddhism Conference takes as its theme "Breaking the Mould".
Buddhism is entering the Western world and as in each of its previous cultural transitions, it has to change and adapt. At the same time, Buddhism aims to break the mould of the society that it enters. Where there has been greed, Buddhism teaches generosity; where there has been hatred, love; where there has been pride, selflessness; and where there has been fear, faith. In the west Buddhism is so far primarily known as a quietistic practice for cultivating personal calm. Surely it has more to offer. This conference will bring together the personal and the social, the spiritual and the practical dimensions of the Dharma and invite reflection on the path ahead and ask: Does Buddhism need to change?.
This topic can embrace a multitude of perspectives:
Spirituality + Arts + Social Action + Dharma practice + Chaplaincy + Buddhist Psychology + Healing + Writing + Aid + Peacework + Dharma study + Groupwork + Research + Volunteering + Religious vocation + Mutual aid + New technology + Interfaith
.... and all the richness of the Amida-shu / Amida-kai universe.

Respected monks,
Why do you all want to attend the conference? What will you get from there? I think you will get not much. You better go to India and study there. It will save your money.
Going to London or other countries may not help you much. If you like to come India, please email me.
Are you a SPIDER? If YES, attend the conference and never come back to Thailand or Sri Lanka.
Are you a SPIDER? If NOT, come to India and study there.
Please do not waste your money and energy.
All the best,
SPIDER

Take my heartiest love and respect. In my opinion, this is just a fake conference, and someone just open one page web site to earn money, and most of the Bangladeshi and Indian monks wanna go over there, I dont know what will their business........ if you search for buddhism, u can just study in Srilanka, Thailand with just a token cost, in India also there are two famous Buddhist university, i.e. Nalanda and Magadh University, in srilanka Buddhist and pali university and in Thailand Mahachula and Mahamukut University, U can find lots of resource from www.mcu.ac.th please dont get this fake conference........ if u wanna some help about buddhist resource, u can just email me at: jewelbarua2002@yahoo.com

Dedicating my honourable Respact to the Buddha,Dhamma,And Sangha.I am wondering about comment from many monk who really appreaiate to attend conference to Europe. Its really to much expactation from somebody. Its not way to be living as a monk.Monk shoudnt expact anything from anybody. If laypeople will invite them to go anywhere then they can go or reather not.So kind information to all monk please dont destry respact from people to the monk.It would be in PARAJIT.Because its like breaking somthiong means people heart.People will lost confedence to Sanhga if their expactaion to much.I am so sorry if anybody got affected by my comment to this dhamma site. But i tried to say truth from buddhas nature.
