After three remarkable weeks of events and organisational change, I am now in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria. I am very tired and this is a good opportunity for a bit of a rest. However I woke up to 50 new e-mails in my in-tray so it will not be all relaxation. Indeed with the splitting of the old Amida into two organisations there is now a huge amount to do to get the renewed Amida Trust going full speed ahead. The recent changes are releasing a lot of energy and making possible the implementation of ideas that have been gestating over the past two years but have needed these new conditions to bloom.
The few days before I came here were spent beginning the move of Amida Trust HQ to London and holding important meetings with groups within the sangha to get the process of development started. A New Amida News has just been published outlining all the things that are currently going on. At the current rate of progress we will probably need another one before long.
Also, here in GC I have many good Dharma friends and it may well be that things will start to develop here too. Watch this space. Namo Amida Bu.
I hope you will actually manage to get some rest...the last few weeks have been quite full on, to put it mildly.
