Today Zen Master Celso Navarro and I gave talks to 60+ members of the Maestro Eckhart Association here in Gran Canaria and conducted a seasonal ceremony in adopration of the spiritual light. Celso's talk was about the significance of the ancestory of Jesus. He made quite a bit of the fact that a number of Jesus' forbears were less than totally savoury characters - we have to accept our ancestors as they were. He and I were on a similar wavelength and all went extremely well. The event took place at a small monastery in the hills. It was a joyous occasion and it was a delight to re-meet old friends and make new ones. It was the first time that Franca and I had appeared publicly as a couple.
Afterwards Franca and I went shopping and then for a walk along the prom at Las Canteras. We saw the nativity sculpted from sand on the shore which was impressive. Walking back at 9pm I got tested on my Spanish vocabulary. It was 20 degrees. We sat for a bit and watched the waves. A very fine day.
