Recently we have been doing creative drama, improvisation and performance activities using voice, body, spectacle and group dynamics, in the border domain where personal growth, spirituality and arts meet under the rubric "Archedrama" - a term that I coined many years ago when a practising psychodramatist. We have now changed the name to Pandramatics. We have adopted the new name in place of "Archedrama" in order to avoid possible copyright problems and also because we find the new name slightly more apt. Pan has double significance - on the one hand implying inclusiveness and multiplicity, as in pantheon or Pan-African, and on the other hand invoking the image of Pan the god of nature, ecstacy and wildness.
I am very happy to be developing this arena for creative work and experimentation. We shall have a workshop this evening and intend to regularly reserve some time each week for emperimental activity on these lines. I hope that others with an interest will join us and we can keep expanding the possibilities. We do not see Pandramatics as specifically therapeutic or educational in intent, tho it is likely to have such possibilities. We see it as an activity for its own sake for those who want to explore and expand.
