This summer at Amida France we had four weeks of events. We begun on 14th July with a Sesshin silent retreat with extensive pureland practice, dharma teachings and journaling. This was the first time we run the retreat of this kind. People liked it very much and we intend to run another one next year. Then we had a week of Dharma Teachings with Dharmavidya and Prasada giving lectures on alternate days. In the following week Kaspalita led us in a programme of drama work. In just five days we created a play of the Parable of the Prodigal Son from The Lotus Sutra. Finally we held the Buddhist Psychology Summer School: a mixture of lectures, discussion, and experiential work.
We had very good feedback from all four events and a larger number of participants than in recent years, so we have decided to extend the programme and offer seven weeks next summer. We hope also to have some other activities in the spring.
